Taking a Stand with the Fall of Freedom Campaign, 11/20–22
I am proud to participate in this weekend's Fall of Freedom project, a nationwide artist-run campaign calling attention to the erosion of core elements of our democracy, including free expression. I’ve designed and installed a 7-foot window banner at BAU Gallery in Beacon, NY., listing words, phrases, identities, and issues the current administration is purging from federal websites, research funding opportunities and school curricula, including "racial justice," "women," "LGBTQ," "Native American," and hundreds of others. The banner's call to action: "Take a stand against the erasure of people and ideas." Come by the gallery and see this timely work. The banner is up today through Saturday. Read more about Fall of Freedom—and find other related events at Fall of Freedom.
On view through December 7 at BAU Gallery in Beacon, NY
