Fall of Freedom, 2025

I designed and installed Purge, a 7-foot window banner at BAU Gallery in Beacon, NY, as part of the 2025 Fall of Freedom project, a nationwide artist-run campaign calling attention to the erosion of core elements of our democracy, including free expression. The banner lists words, phrases, identities, and issues the current administration is purging from federal websites, research funding opportunities and school curricula, including "racial justice," "women," "LGBTQ," "Native American," and hundreds of others. The banner's call to action: "Take a stand against the erasure of people and ideas." Come by the gallery and see this timely work. The banner is up today through Saturday.
